Saturday, June 24 - Racing for a Cure 2017 (Kids with Cancer)

On Saturday, June 24, 2017 a charitable fundraising event will take place in downtown Edmonton  at the south legislative grounds and accompanying roadways. Racing for a Cure raises funds in support of the Kids With Cancer Society. The event offers rides in exotic vehicles around a closed circuit with a donation made directly to the Kids With Cancer Society. This family-centred charity event will also feature a show and shine, food trucks and kids entertainment. Last year Racing for a Cure raised over $565,000 for Kids With Cancer Society from this one day event.

Event Operating Hours 

Rides and entertainment will take place from 10am-4pm.

Road closures will be in effect on Saturday from 8am-6pm. Specifically, there will be a full closure of Fortway Drive, River Valley Road between Fortway Drive and 105 Street, 105 street between River Valley Road and 96 avenue, and 96 avenue between 105 street and Fortway Drive.

Please be aware that there will be traffic disruptions and pedestrian detours during this time.
