City of Edmonton Parking Survey!

When it comes to parking required for new homes and businesses, there are often trade-offs between the amount of available parking, the cost of homes and businesses, and the ability to walk to destinations in your neighbourhood. The City is currently seeking public input on these trade-offs and priorities around parking, as well as who should be responsible for making decisions about how much on-site parking is provided with new developments.

We encourage you to provide input on this important topic. Feedback is currently being collected through an online survey open until Monday, November 19, 2018. The Zoning Bylaw team will also be at the Engage Edmonton drop-in events. There will be opportunity to meet the team in person and ask them about changes to parking on the following dates:

@ Londonderry Mall (137 Ave & 66 ST NW) Thursday October 25, 2018: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
@ West Edmonton Mall (8882 170 St NW) Tuesday October 30, 2018: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
@ Millwoods Town Centre (2331 66 St NW) Thursday November 8, 2018: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
@ Edmonton Tower (10111 104 Ave NW). Thursday November 15, 2018: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Your feedback will be used to help inform City staff's work to develop different options for how we accommodate parking on private property. We will be sharing these options with Edmontonians for their input in early 2019 before recommending an approach for City Council's consideration later in the year.
