As part of our neighbourhood flood protection plan, we are working on a plan to separate the sewer line so that stormwater and wastewater are collected separately from the Rossdale neighbourhood. With more capacity to handle spikes in stormwater flows, your risk of sewer backups and surface flooding would be reduced.

As part of this planning and design work, we will be conducting exploratory work in the Rossdale neighbourhood using hydrovac trucks. This work is expected to start July 30 and take five days, weather and work conditions permitting. During this time, there will be limited lane closures. We will work during daytime hours during the weekday, and work in stages, to minimize the disruption to residents.
