EPCOR Flood Mitigation Survey
EPCOR research into citizen priorities for flood mitigation
EPCOR is conducting research into Edmontonians’ values and priorities in regards to flood mitigation.
This survey presents a storm scenario and asks participants to think about the different impacts a flood in Edmonton could have on homes, businesses, the environment, people and community services.
Your input will help set priorities for reducing the potential impacts of storm flooding in Edmonton.
The survey, which is open for the next month, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Survey responses will be compiled by EPCOR solely for the purpose of stormwater flood planning.

For your information, this research is part of our Stormwater Integrated Resource Planning, which will take a risk-based approach to identifying where in the city to prioritize improvements to the stormwater system. This is the first step in EPCOR’s larger public engagement program. Following the survey, we intend to engage stakeholders on more deeper conversations related to proposed infrastructure investments as we build out our capital plan.
Thanks again for your support!

It's happening! Come help build our community garden this weekend!
The garden beds will be built next weekend, May 11-13th.
Here’s what’s happening and where we can use help,
Friday, May 10th starting at 1:00
- Cutting of lumber sections and staining the wood.
We could use some muscles in lifting wood and assisting with the cutting, helping with rolling the stain.
Saturday, May 11th starting at 11:00
- Assembling the raised beds and setting them into place.
We could use help and your cordless drill with a #8 robinson bit (if you have one) to assemble the beds. This is the day we require the most help. At 3:30 there will be burgers and refreshments.
Sunday, May 12th starting at 11:00
- Moving the mulch and soil into place.
We could use your help along with your rake, shovel, and wheelbarrow to help move the materials into place.
Please tell your friends and neighbours the dog park will not be available this weekend. We will need to secure the materials and there will be moving equipment, we don’t want Fido to get run over.
All activities will be at the Rossdale hall parking lot and the garden site inside the south fence from Rossdale hall.
Please let me know if you can help out by emailing me atkaren.edwards@shaw.ca.
